The bios routine started but did not allow me to select the source of the file. It completed the normal process but in the end did not solve the problem. I tried the same procedure with another flash drive but could not get the BIOS flash executable to copy anything to the flash drive.
After running the executable - sp I have tried this on another Windows 7 computer and still get the "InsydeFlash Application has stopped working One more try. Success in making the flash drive. Plugged it into the x, pressed the Windows key and "B" key and powered up. Flash drive light flickered many times but the BIOS screen never came up. The caps lock now flashes a 2 long and then 2 short sequence-. Also happens when updating BIOS.

I changed the RAM one day. May have been the wrong RAM. IT was a s 2gb chip. Then a couple weeks go by without noticing any performance increase or decrease. My friend comes over all lit and dumb and pulls the acer off its desk and!

I open it up to check the RAM chip is still in place and it was, put it back together and here i am. I may have pulled a lil tiny wire lose that connect momma board to the screen. Acer suffer from death by update mine was just 13 month old anything over warranty date is a bonus my sister's one lasted 14 months, I've tried every option in the blue screen menu, and the boot order cannot be changed the bios such as it is has M in it and arrow keys don't work these things are junk and the customer service just directs you to their self help forums.
